To install the modpack on your PC, you first need to download and install the correct launcher. If you're looking to create your own modpack with the mods you want and custom configs, read our article on installing Mods. You can only install one modpack on your server at the same time, and mods or configs can't be added, removed or modified. Please note that modpacks are a complete experience. You can install a modpack in the software section. To use one of these modpacks on your server you first need to install the mod pack on your server, you have to install it on your PC and on Aternos. We support modpacks from the following Launchers: CurseForge, ATLauncher and the FTB App. Create Start ScriptĬreate a new file start.Aternos offers numerous modpacks that developers publish on modded launchers like CurseForge or ATLauncher. Install ModsĬopy your mods into the modpack-server/mods folder. Use the same Forge Installer as before and Install Server into your newly created folder. To set up a Forge server create a modpack-server directory. In order to play your modpack on a server all the mods have to be installed on the server as well (unless stated otherwise). Enter all the necessary information and most importantly the Dropbox url you created. Upload modpack.zip, create a share link and change the dl param to dl=1 to enable direct download.
The modpack needs to be publicly hosted and the zip-file must be directly accessible. minecraft folder is cluttered from previous mod installations you can start Minecraft Launcher with a custom directory: path/to/MinecraftLauncher.exe -workDir path/to/alternative/.minecraft Create ArchiveĪrchive all the contents of modpack into modpack.zip. Quit Minecraft as soon as it has finished starting up. Now start Minecraft Launcher and launch the newly created profile. Use the same Forge Installer as before and use Install Client. In order to generate all the necessary config files, the mods need to be installed and run on a client. Install Modsĭownload all the desired mods and place them in modpack/mods. I solved it by installing a modpack using the same version of Minecraft from Technic Launcher and copying the modpack.jar from there. Note: This did not work for me (Forge would not load mods when starting the game). Rename the extracted jar-file to modpack.jar. Install Forgeĭownload the Forge Installer and Extract it into your modpack/bin folder. modpack and create subfolders called bin, config and mods.
